SAFETY FIRST: DO’S AND DON’TS AT THE HANGOUT MARGARET RIVER
Your safety is our top priority! In this video, we walk you through the essential do’s and don’ts to ensure a safe and enjoyable rock climbing and bouldering experience at The Hangout Margaret River. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned climber, these guidelines will help you stay safe while having fun.

PLAY ZONE: Ages 2 - 12
Opening Hours

Waivers must be completed prior to entry.

Socks to be worn at all times.

No food or drinks permitted in play area – water bottles can be stored in designated areas.

Entry to Bouldering Zone is included in fees – Bouldering Rules apply.
CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.

BOULDERING ZONE: Ages 4 and older.

Climbing shoes must be worn (BYO or hire for $5).

Stay off mats when not climbing.
CHILDREN UNDER 14 TO BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

SAFETY
A safety induction is required to anyone new to The Hang Out Margaret River. Climbing safety refers to the practices and procedures that minimise the inherent risks involved in climbing.

Fall Safely Induction and Waiver must be completed before climbing.

Take turns on climbs.

Brush holds for better grip.

Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult.

Climb down once you reach the top.

Safety first! Please tell staff if a hold is loose or you see anything unsafe.

Keep bouldering mats clear of belongings.

Climbing Shoes only on walls and mats.

Shirts on at all times.
No Climbing Shoes in bathrooms.
